Soulful Serenity Soaps is a local, family-owned business who specializes in artisanal bath, body, and home care products. All of our products are handcrafted in small batches with the highest quality ingredients; all with sensitive skin care needs as our priority. I started learning this craft in 2016 when we needed a more holistic and natural way to help heal our daughter’s severe eczema. We had been through multiple specialists, testing, and were on an intense regime of steroid treatments. I knew there had to be a natural alternative and started researching essential oils. My first product for her was an all-natural bath bomb. We saw immediate results and knew that we were on the right track. From there, we grew a business that offers a wide range of products including items such as soaps, lotions, balms, salves, essential oil rollers, candles, and much more. It is my passion and purpose to offer natural alternatives for your skincare needs, while also offering you a sustainable, gift-ready package for either your own pampering or for those that you care for.
About the Maker…
I graduated college in 2005 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. That same year, I married my high school sweetheart, Kevin, after 5 years of dating. We have now been married for 15 years. After college, I started my career in banking, but decided in 2015 that being home to raise our family was an priority for me and I chose a new path in life. I am a blessed mom to two kiddos, Jocelyn and Ethan, who keep us on our toes and in the car driving to multiple practices each week. While I fully appreciate the opportunity to have been a stay at home parent, I needed something more. I knew that there had to be others who struggled as we did with skincare issues and wanted to help where I could. It is important to me to help others with their struggles and share our success in more natural remedies. I have loved (and loathed at times) learning this craft. I strive to continue to hone my skills and develop new products that help both our family and yours.
About Our Name…
No, we are not a yoga studio! Our name holds a lot of meaning for me. I know the struggles of being both a working mom and a SAHM and we could all use a little more serenity! I find my “5 minutes peace" (as I tell my son) when I can finally get the kids to bed, run a hot bath, and soak away the stresses of the day. I chose the name of Soulful Serenity to represent my goal in my own daily attitude. Our struggles and challenges that we have faced over the years have made me step back and refocus on what is really important. I had to search my soul to find peace and acceptance in the way that life plays out. I strive to take a more holistic approach to each day and to take charge of my inner peace. And while I am still a work in progress, I hope that I can pass on a little Soulful Serenity to each of you through our product line.
